You did a great job with this one Anton. Thanks for reminding us of the importance to guard our self -respect and worth.

On the other hand, staying within a parasitic, disrespectful relationship actually has its advantages. I’ve learned that there are challenges and lessons that are accelerated within this framework if perseverance, resilience and self-awareness is being utilized throughout. It is contrary to what you wrote, but sometimes what doesn’t kill you can make you stronger and present opportunities to really get to know what your weaknesses and values actually are.

Relationships that are loving and blissful rarely present enough opportunities to develop and understand our worth. Obviously those are the kind of relationships we would all want to be in, but not all of us deserve or are ready for.

These “bad” relationships can be immensely valuable if thought of as learning experiences.
