That’s some heavy thinking. For the longest time, I had “evil” defined as “ignorance” and was satisfied at how immune it was to debate and criticism, but I have to say that I also really like your take on it.

“Evil is that which resists evolution.”

I suppose we can co-exist with each of our definitions, because evolution can be taken to mean “towards order and efficency” and it can be agreed that ignorance is to live in denial of our purpose, hindering our potential by choosing (consciously and unconsciously) not to move towards a more orderly and efficient existence.
