(note: I am challenging myself to write every day for 30 days. What follows may not necessarily be interesting or even coherent. Parental discretion is advised.)
I wrote a few days ago about how I had to do a presentation on the conscious use of cannabis and I am proud to report that it was a success.
Well, if you call “success” as being that I didn’t have to give a presentation at all.
You see, the event wasn’t promoted well. We had an audience of one person show up and it was my co-host’s sister.
It’s ironic to think about the anxiety and preparation leading up to all this amounted to not having to do what we thought we would be doing.
If anything we’ve learned from the experience is that really… don’t sweat it. Also, be aggressive when it comes to promoting an event. Three weeks just doesn’t cut it. Maybe charging for admission also would’ve been a good way of knowing how many people are actually going to come.
Oh well. It was nice to challenge myself to see if I could do a presentation and I think I prepared well enough. After going home with tails between our legs we simply presented to my gf’s sister and cat.
Hmm.
I’m not really sure what else to write today. It’s cold out here, minus 28 degrees Celsius and there’s no reason to be frolicking outside or going anywhere.
That’s fine by me.
This is going to be one of the least interesting posts I’ve written in my 30 day challenge.
And that’s fine with me as well.
Stay warm fellow Canadians. Stay warm.
