I have a confession to make. My name is David and I am addicted to podcasts. *scratches neck*

Ever since a friend of mine introduced me to the Joe Rogan Experience around 2011, I was instantly hooked. Long-form conversations with no ads and interruptions became a great way to really get into the minds of the guests Joe had on his show and learn about their views. Three hour episodes was the norm back then and it was all done live and unedited. I could not get enough and have listened to hundreds of hours of glorious talk candy.

Nowadays the JRE is pre-recorded, occasionally releases podcasts around the one-hour mark and somewhat became a parody of itself with the same type of subjects over and over and over again. Have you tried DMT? Ate elk meat? Isn’t Joey Diaz the most hilarious comedian alive?

But there has been other podcasts I’ve gotten into over the years. Thanks to Pocket Casts for Android, I starred and saved some of the ones that blew my mind the most. Here they are in no particular order:

#6. The Higherside Chats with Sevan Bomar

Spiritual teacher, Sevan Bomar, joins THC to breakdown the levels of our reality, clarify the code of the Matrix, identify Archon control structures, share his psychonautic insights, and a whole lot more in a great episode to end the year

Sevan Bomar is an enigmatic fellow. He displays none of the characteristic humility present among “enlightened” teachers and brazenly describes himself as a spiritual “savant/prodigy”. He can come across as unlikable and self-serving but he sure knows his stuff. In this episode, Sevan covers the evil Archons of the Matrix control grid, Gnosticism and a brief history of himself and how he came to be.

Immensely listenable, you’ll want to find time alone to listen to this with the least amount of distraction possible to soak in everything that is being said.

#5. The Joe Rogan Experience with Tim Pool (EP#1242)

Tim Pool is a renegade DIY journalist who posts videos daily on topics regarding American politics and capitalism. He also dips into commenting on pop culture, feminism and the absurdity of the world in which we live. This is Tim’s first appearance on JRE which actually is not the most mindblowing episode he’s done, but in order to appreciate the full mindblowing, I suggest starting with #1242 to get an introduction to Tim and then delve into episode #1258 where he goes face to face against Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, giving him a sound beating that has radically changed my perception of social media and the dangers of suppressing free speech.

This is the only time ever, has a CEO of a social media company decided to spend 3+ hours defending himself against a “woke” journalist. Trust me, this is as mindblowing as it gets.

#4. Aubrey Marcus Podcast with Mark Manson (EP#205)

Mark Manson is such a great writer. It was quite a surprise for me to come across this podcast to see what he looked and sounded like.

It didn’t disappoint. In this episode, Mark goes into detail about his latest book: “Everything is Fucked — a Book About Hope” where he acknowledges the crippled state of the world and lays out the mechanism needed to fortify ourselves mentally against injustice and materialism.

There are other episodes with Aubrey and Mark, but this one arguably covers his most important and meaningful work to date.

#3 The Joe Rogan Experience with Alex Jones (EP#1255)

Paired with resident JRE conspiracy theorist Eddie Bravo — Alex Jones makes his first appearance on Joe Rogan after being banned by Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Listening to this, I knew it was going to be in my top ten podcasts of all time. Alex is a demon possessed as he and Eddie Bravo get to discussing human-animal hybrids, UFOs, intradimensonal child-molesting aliens, frogs turning gay and all manner of strange conspiratorial awesomeness.

Nobody rants better and more convincingly than Alex Jones. It is the most watched JRE episode of all time, becoming an instant classic the day it aired. No ifs and buts about it.

#2. The Higherside Chats with Dr. William Bengston

Hearing a doctor go into details on energy healing, curing cancer and backing up his findings with scientific results — made this the best introduction to energy healing I have ever heard. So much so that I went out and got his book “The Energy Cure” and have recommended it since.

Whether you believe in healing others through a laying of hands or intention, Dr. Bengston lays out a compelling case gathered from decades of research and experimentation. Is he a charlatan? You’ll have to listen and decide.

#1. The Joe Rogan Experience with Jordan Peterson

If I had to pick one podcast to rule them all then this would be it.

It really is one of the best of the many shows I’ve listened to over the years. Peterson’s intelligence is staggering and watching Joe grow humbled by becoming progressively more speechless and restrained was hugely entertaining to watch. As an avid listener of JRE, I could notice the changes that Dr. Peterson caused in Joe just from having a simple conversation with him.

So much so, that it is no surprise Joe invited him back for a further five times and often references Peterson while talking with other guests. That’s how much of an impression Jordan had made. And you’ll notice it too, while your mind is being blown.

There you have it. If you have any mind-blowing episodes of your own to share, feel free to drop them in the comments. I’d be excited to give them a listen as well as others.
