Powerful writing Caitlin. I love it when you take a detour away from talking about politics to focus upon philosophical and spiritually-minded topics such as this.

One thing I have noticed that is common among many who experience heightened states of awareness, is the inevitable slide to complacency and forgetting what was once so illuminating.

Not always, but quite often.

This is an observation that I have difficulty reconciling with articles such as this one and all manner of practises that offer teachings and methods to transcend mediocrity. It seems that they fade off over time, unless such methods are encouraged to become habits that are taken seriously enough to maintain on a constant basis.

Which again raises another observation of mine — it is difficult to maintain discipline enough to form habits of self exploration and inquiry. I find that for myself, I need to firmly resolve to be in the present moment as much as I can and it does not happen as often as I would like unless I make the conscious effort to do so.

This then invites the question of how badly do I desire to penetrate the veil and step outside the conditioning. Often times, this desire ebbs and flows without reaching a decisive point of equilibrium.

To conclude, I think it would be wise to consider writing a future article that places all this into a perspective that is exciting to want to develop. Ie. Writing with marketing in mind. I personally find it inspirational to read your words and marvel at the way you articulate certain topics. Your writing certainly is the mirror of your soul, and it’s comforting to know that high levels of awareness and perceptual acuity exists in the world demonstrated by people like yourself.

I suppose I’m rambling for the sake of trying to sort my thoughts out. Thank you for the article.
