Dr Lisa Galarneaux is right that Hilary won the popular vote, however, there was no “manipulation” involved in Trump’s victory. What happened is similar to what occurred with Bush when he ran up against Al Gore and the second time against John Kerry. It was the electoral college that won him the presidency both times.

The electoral college has what can be considered as “super” votes, in which states with a low population can have as much voting “power” as the most populous.

It acts as a kind of equalizing mechanism. Places like California and New York aren’t going to be any more “powerful” in dictating the results of an election than say, Ohio or Arizona.

In theory this is fair, but as you’ve seen with Clinton and Bush; these super votes can be skewed against majority opinion and the “popular” vote. There’s talk right now about abolishing the electoral college.

Yeah, I remember the hubbub around Putin not wanting Clinton to win, and the threats of WWIII. But, perhaps this really is the better outcome. We can’t see what would have happened if Clinton won; but perhaps her presidency could have resulted in another world war.

Benghazi, the deletion of incriminating emails, John Podesta, Pizzagate, etc. She was a terrible candidate.

It’s a conspiracy either way. Russia “helped” Trump, and the American media “helped” Clinton.

Yeah. That North Korea situation has been going on for at least a decade now. Wonder how much longer that’s going to play out for.
