Awesome, Caitlin. You should consider the power of the meme which one may deploy in service of perpetuating a narrative. Look at how effective it has been with Giorgio, the ancient aliens guy. That’s just one example. To fight, a narrative must be more then controlled, it has to be entertaining, like you pointed out.

Memes are bite-sized idea worms that function as a lead-in to a larger picture/story. Memes are the bylines. The TL;DR. The flag signaling attention towards a bigger issue, or person, or idea, or group. Being that we are suffering from information overload; a meme is a quick way of getting attention that comes across as entertainment enough to become viral.
